The evolution of early symbolic behaviour.

The project The evolution of early symbolic behaviour (eSYMb) was funded by an ERC Consolidator Grant awarded to Prof Kristian Tylén (Aarhus University). Inspired by different archaeological findings, the project used behavioural and cognitive experiments to inform discussions about the evolution of human capacity to use symbols and visual representations.

Profs-Chercheurs, a citizen science project with/for educators.

The project Profs-Chercheurs (or Teachers-Researchers in English) was funded by a Grant from the Learning Planet Institute (Paris, France) awarded to Dr Ignacio Atal (Université Paris Cité). Motivated by a desire to help educators share their efforts to address their challenges, the project developed, implemented, and tested a citizen science program for the educational sciences

A scoping review of measures of mental workload in air traffic control.

The project Task difficulty and physiological measures of mental workload in air traffic control: a scoping review was conducted in the first half of 2020, at the start of the health crisis of covid-19. The goal was to ground further empirical work being planned for an emerging project led by Profs David Travieso and David Jacobs at the Autonomous University of Madrid. Doing a lit review was a great way to stay sane and productive during lockdown, since the planned experiments had to be postponed!
